LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY {LASU} POST UTME/DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING FORM IS OUT 2025/2026

The long-awaited Lagos State University (LASU) Post UTME/Direct Entry screening application form is available for the 2025/2026 academic session. This is a guideline to all the prospective candidates or applicants searching for admission in the institution
Overview of Lagos State University Admission Screening
The prospective candidates are invited from for the Lagos State University 2025/2026 Admission Screening Exercise and this is for regular students and those applying for courses with entrepreneurship training. Any person who must partake in this exercise must register online.
Option number 1 for registration: Regular Students seeking admission via UTME (100 level) and Direct Entry.
- Option number 2: Regular Students with Entrepreneurship seeking admission via UTME (100 level only).
candidates are not permitted to apply for both, Candidates can only choose from one of these options during the admission screening.
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LASU ADMISSION SCREENING, CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- First Choice Institution: Candidates must have selected Lagos State University as their first choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Minimum Score: A minimum score of 195 in the UTME is required.
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 1st October 2025.
- Pre-Degree Students: Those who have completed LASU Pre-Degree Studies and have chosen LASU as their first choice in UTME with a score of 195 or above are eligible.
- Direct Entry: Candidates with a Direct Entry Form from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and those with a LASU Foundation (JUPEB) are eligible.
- Indigene ship Verification: Candidates of Lagos State Origin who have been verified by the Independent Indigene ship Verification Committee (IIVC) are automatically validated.

Step-by-Step Application Process
To apply for the LASU Post UTME screening, follow these steps:
Online Payment Registration
- Visit the LASU Website:Go to the Lagos State University official site.
- Access New Applicants:Navigate to ‘Student’ and click on ‘New Applicants.’
- Select UTME/DE Screening:Choose the option for UTME/DE Screening.
- Login with UTME Details:Enter your UTME Registration Number and Surname, then submit.
- Make Payment:Select the Admission Screening Fee and make the necessary payment.
- Complete the Screening Application:After payment, complete the application and print the Temporary Self-Screening Report.
Online Self-Screening Form
- Return to the Screening Portal:Go back to the LASU Screening Platform.
- Login with UTME Details:Use your UTME Registration Number and Surname to log in.
- Fill Personal Details:Carefully provide all required personal details.
- Upload Documents:Scan and upload your UTME and O Level results.
- Select Courses:Choose your preferred course of study.
- Preview and Certify Details:Ensure all details are correct and certify your application.
- Submit and Download Screening Report:Submit your application and download the Screening Report.
Screening Grading System
The screening of candidates is based on a point grading system using the UTME score and SSCE grades in five best relevant subjects. The grading is as follows:
- A1: 10 points
- B2: 9 points
- B3: 8 points
- C4: 7 points
- C5: 6 points
- C6: 5 points
The maximum obtainable score is 50%.
